Shared byline for the Todayish editorial desk at 5Tree LLC.

Who is Mike?

Mike Rosswell is the editorial byline for Todayish, the daily almanac run by 5Tree LLC. Behind the name is a small two-person team that sources holidays, historical events, and birthdays, cross-checks them against public records, and writes the intro copy and editorial voice you read across every date page, every month hub, and every horoscope on the site.

The short version: Mike is a pen name. Todayish is a small, independent project and we publish under a shared editorial byline rather than individual staff names. That's common practice at publications where most posts involve more than one person touching the draft, and we'd rather be honest about that than list fake names on fake staff pages.

What isn't a pen name: the editorial standards. Every fact on the site gets sourced before it ships, every historical claim gets cross-referenced against its primary source, and every mistake we catch gets fixed the same day it's reported.

What Mike writes

The Mike Rosswell byline covers the editorial voice across Todayish — the intro copy on every month hub, the rewrites of raw historical events into something worth reading, the horoscope editorial tone, and the recurring "Florida Man" commentary. Raw source data for holidays, birthdays, and historical events comes from Wikipedia and other public references; the phrasing, emphasis, and dry asides are editorial.
